What can I submit?

Fanfics, thread fics, fanart, comics, animations, drabbles, sketches, cosplays—anything as long as the creations are your own. If you have any questions about what's acceptable, ask away on our contact page!

How do the prompts work?

Feel free to choose as many or as few prompts for inspiration! Mix and match, combine, create for only the Sweet, or create for only the Spicy—whichever, and however, you want to participate is fine by us!

What if I can’t do all the prompts or I submit late?

You don’t have to do all the prompts during Kacchako Week!
Pick and choose your favorites.
If you are determined to do all the prompts or lose track of time, no need to stress! The AO3 collection will stay open indefinitely for you to add your contribution, even if the event closes on social media. The Twitter and Bluesky accounts will retweet pieces until June 21st.

What counts as NSFW or adult content?

NSFW stands for Not Safe For Work and consists of any content that is considered inappropriate to be shared in a professional setting. If it would receive a Mature (M) or Explicit (E) rating on AO3, it would be considered NSFW, regardless if it is sexual in nature.

What content isn’t allowed during the week?

Dead Dove content or content that would warrant the use of AO3’s Archive Warning system are not eligible to be retweeted by our account or included in the AO3 collection. This includes—but is not limited to—underage, loli/shota, rape/non-consensual, graphic depictions of violence, diseases, and major character death. Our sister account KCHKAfterDark hosts Dark Kacchako Week and you are more than welcome to share your creations during that time!If you have a specific topic that you are unsure where it falls, feel free to email or contact us through our contact page.

How do I submit my contribution(s) to be added to the Archive of Our Own Collection if my work is not hosted by AO3?

You can email your submission(s) to us at [email protected] with the following information:- Title (fic title/title of art piece. Untitled pieces will be generically labeled “Kacchako Week Day # by <creator>)
- Characters
- Warnings (graphic depictions of violence, major character death, kinks, etc. or N/A)
Rating
- Summary and Additional Tags
- Link to the piece

What about my OT3/4/polyship?

We welcome polyship content. We love seeing all the unique ways people include Kacchako in their works! We simply ask that you please keep the primary focus on Kacchako.

How did you determine the prompts for the event?

Using submissions given to us from the Kacchako community during our Prompt Poll in January, the mods painstakingly craft the week to satisfy every Kacchako’s craving! If you notice some prompts come back year-to-year, it’s due to the high volume of requests. (Kacchakos know what we want!)
